Excessive running causes cancer.
Doctors reached this disappointing conclusion after a large-scale study.
Intense and prolonged running creates significant stress on the intestines: during exercise, blood flows to the muscles, leaving the intestines in a state of ischemia (oxygen deprivation). This leads to chronic inflammation and DNA damage.
As a result, 50% of young runners are found to have intestinal polyps, and 15% have precancerous adenomas. This is three times higher than expected for their age group.
I knew it, so I just stay home.
