An Italian man tried to sell a fake Rolex in Singapore, but the watch turned out to be genuine, and he was jailed.

The man offered a shopkeeper a replica of a rare Rolex GMT Saru to sell as the original, while he asked for three pairs of the real watches at a lower price. The shop completed the transaction and reported it to the police. The Italian man was detained at the airport. During the investigation, an expert examination revealed that the watches were, in fact, genuine.

However, the man was still sentenced to seven months in prison for attempted fraud.
