Jagran correspondent, Charkhi Dadri. The wanted man, who was arrested in the NDPS Act case registered in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh, escaped from Charkhi Dadri City Police Station by tricking the Chhattisgarh Police team.
The incident of absconding of the accused happened on Wednesday night at around 11.30 pm. On the complaint of Chhattisgarh Police, Charkhi Dadri City Police Station has registered a case against the accused and started further action.
In a complaint lodged at the city police station, ASI Rajendra Prasad informed that he is posted at Bhoi police station, Basna in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. He informed that on February 28, a case was registered under the NDPS Act at Basna Police Station. He had come here with his team to arrest the wanted accused Ajit alias 'Deewana' Sharma, a resident of Balkara, Charkhi Dadri.
ASI Rajendra Prasad further said that at 11:30 pm on Wednesday night, they arrested the accused at Hosathi Chowk in Charkhi Dadri and brought him to the local city police station for transit remand.
