Rajiv Kumar Jha, Kolkata. This time the Bengal Assembly elections are not just another election for the BJP, but also a test of organizational maturity and leadership.
Especially when Nitin Naveen, who recently took charge of the world's largest party as the national president, is for the first time playing the role of chief strategist in an assembly election. In this election, his emphasis is on achieving victory with the help of booth-centric strategy.
During his two-day stay in Kolkata on March 24-25 before next month's elections in Bengal, Naveen made it clear that he wants to fight this challenge not just through political speeches but by going deep into the organization, reorganizing it and making it active.
This visit of Naveen was different from traditional political visits. In this, more emphasis was seen on back-door strategy and micro management.
Howrah - From the meetings of Hooghly and Nabadwip zones to his various organizational meetings with the election steering committee, district in-charges and various fronts, it has been made clear that he is working on a strategy to control the elections from the booth level.
He drew the complete blueprint for victory through booth-centric strategy. In his working style, a mixture of aggression with organizational discipline, straight talk, clear instructions and expectation of results emerged prominently.
Message to leaders - It is not an office duty to work according to time
In the meeting with the migrant leaders in-charge of the districts, he has made a strict comment that it is not an office duty to work according to the time. This gave a clear signal to the leaders that there is no place for show or formality in the organization, but only activism on the ground will be acceptable.
He clearly told the leaders that they should live among the workers, listen to their problems, understand the local issues and be continuously active, otherwise they should give up the responsibility.
While addressing the meeting of Nabadwip Zone, on one hand he talked about playing saffron Holi on May 4, the day of election results, on the other hand he also gave a concrete mantra to the workers to 'win the booth, win the election'. Nitin Naveen also emphasized on setting the narrative.
He positioned the Bengal elections as a battle of Trinamool's fear versus BJP's trust, which could become the focal point of the party's entire election strategy. From an organizational point of view, Naveen clearly emphasized on worker-based campaign.
He repeatedly underlined that the strength of BJP is its workers, who work in the spirit of nation first. By giving the message of considering himself a candidate to every worker, he boosted their morale and made them feel responsible.
