In fact, a poll by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research showed that about 59 percent of Americans believe that the US military campaign against Iran has intervened excessively.

The survey, conducted in the fourth week of the ongoing conflict between the US and Israel, shows that despite Trump's overall approval rating remaining largely unchanged, the political impact of the war could be sharply increasing on him.

The Trump administration continues to deploy additional warships and troops to the Middle East. Trump's popularity ratings remain stable, but rising fuel prices have raised economic concerns domestically. Because most of the American citizens are opposing this action of the Trump administration considering it a conflict without any purpose.

Big challenge for Trump

There is huge dissatisfaction and opposition among the American public due to American military action against Iran. 74% citizens are against Trump sending ground troops. People are worried about the rising petrol prices in the country and the prolongation of the war. In such a situation, this war can quickly turn into a big political problem for Trump's Republican government.

Concerned about rising fuel prices

Most Americans believe recent U.S. military action against Iran has gone too far, according to a poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, while concerns about rising fuel costs are also rising.

Nearly 45 percent of Americans surveyed said they are extremely worried about being able to afford gasoline in the coming months. Nearly two-thirds of Americans surveyed said preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons should be a very important foreign policy objective, while the same number stressed the importance of controlling domestic oil and gas prices.
