Procession Will Start From 55 Places In Patna Today, MP Arun Govil Will Play Ram; MP Manoj Tiwari Will Also Participate

Preparations for Ram Navami procession are in the final stages in Patna. This year, tableaux will come out from 55 places, which will include Arun Govil of TV serial 'Ramayana' and MP Manoj Tiwari. Many dignitaries including the Governor and Chief Minister will greet the processions at Dakbungla Chowk. Band party from Mumbai, dance troupe from Jharkhand and Ganga Aarti team from Kashi will be special attractions. The city is decorated with attractive lights and Ram flag.

Jagran correspondent, Patna. Preparations for Ramnavmi Mahotsav are in the final stages on behalf of Sri Sri Ramnavami Shobhayatra Abhinandan Samiti. This information was given by BJP national president and committee convenor Nitin Naveen in a press conference on Thursday.

He said that the festival of Ram Navami is a symbol of Indian culture, faith and dignity. Such events spread the message of cultural unity along with positive energy in the society. This year, preparations have been made to make the Ram Navami procession historic and memorable.

Arun Govil, who played the role of Lord Shri Ram in the TV serial Ramayana, will be the special attraction in the procession. Artist cum MP Manoj Tiwari will also participate. Nitin Naveen told that processions reach Shri Ram Chowk Dak Bungalow from two directions.

There is more crowd pressure in front of the main stage. During this time, on the main stage, Governor Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha etc. will greet the processions and perform aarti from the stage.

Mumbai's band party will be the attraction

Dak Bungalow i.e. Shriram Chowk is being decorated with the lights of Chandan Nagar till Kotwali and station Golambar. MP and actor Manoj Tiwari will enthrall the devotees with Shri Ram bhajans on the occasion. All the processions will be the center of attraction with tableaux based on various incidents of Lord Ram and Ramayana.

The program will also feature performances by band party from Mumbai, dance troupe from Jharkhand, Ganga Aarti team from Kashi and Nihangs from the Sikh community. The entire city is being decorated with attractive archways, lights and Ram flag. The stage of the main venue has been given an attractive look with the figures of Lord Shri Ram and Hanuman ji.

The procession started with eight tableaux

The number of tableaux being displayed in Patna on Ram Navami is continuously increasing. Till the year 2011, eight tableaux were released. Which will increase to around 50 in 2025. This year, tableaux will be taken out from 55 places. There has been a lot of change in the presentation of tableaux in these 16 years.

There is a tradition of welcoming the tableaux from various localities of the city on behalf of Sri Sri Ram Navami Shobhayatra Abhinandan Samiti at Dakbungla intersection. Jagjivan Singh of the organizing committee said that earlier in 2011, twenty thousand rupees were spent in organizing and welcoming the tableaux. This year the budget of the event is estimated to be more than Rs 90 lakh.

Tableau started on the lines of Hazaribagh

The tradition of tableaux was started in Patna on the lines of the tableaux taken out in Hazaribagh on Ram Navami. Tableaus have already been coming out in the capital on Ram Navami. In the year 2011, tableaus of local artists from different localities were organized by Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobhayatra Abhinandan Samiti.
