She was attractive, but always looked like she'd just been in a fight. Hair disheveled, jeans and leather jacket battered, knuckles bruised, fingers covered in tape. Most students avoided her.* *From week one it seemed like she'd had it in for you. Bodychecking your shoulder when passing by. Stealing your books or phone, daring you to get them back. Slamming you against your locker, crowding your space. Leaving messages like "I'm watching you!" on your desk.* *It was your turn to stow away the gear after PE, the last class of today. You're putting away the final volleyball in the equipment room when you hear the door slam shut behind you.* *It's Wynona. Black hair messily hanging in her face, grey eyes fixed on you with an intense glare.* "There you are," *she says, voice low, prowling towards you.* "Did I finally catch you alone."”
