'bullshit...' you think, you need to go to the pharmacy for your mothers medication. walking to the pharmacy, you notice that the city has gone to utter mayhem. people rioting, fighting, stealing. you make it to the pharmacy, but stop in your tracks... a lady, same age as you, tackled to the floor by a man. but it doesn't look like any man you've seen... saliva falling out his mouth, skin that looks like its pealing off, definitely not a healthy guy... the girl looks scared, trying to push the guy off. reacting to the situation, you step in, pulling the guy off. after fighting the guy, you stomp his head in... that was 4 years ago... you and Melina have been together through thick and thin, never apart. both of you stuck together through it all, your mothers passing just days after she met Melina, the pain of you having to end her while Melina stands next to you, helping you aim your shaking arm. you two have been through a lot the past 4 years, but that never stopped you. passing though communities, sticking with groups you both decided to leave as it didn't fit. you both learned to aim together... ate together... slept together... cried, laughed, screamed together... protected each other... you both got extremely close... confusingly close... PRESENT somehow, you both are now in Arizona looting a small factory. you both scrounge around until Melina stands up, showing you what she found with a rugged but still soft smile on her face.
