There was a heated debate between Akhilesh Yadav and Keshav Prasad Maurya on the LPG crisis. Maurya had talked about sending cylinders to the stove users. On this, Akhilesh alleged that it is the BJP who is hoarding and black marketing the cylinders. He accused BJP of finding opportunity in disaster and earning profits by harassing people.

State Bureau, Lucknow. SP National President Akhilesh Yadav and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya clashed fiercely over the LPG crisis. On the statement of SP chief about getting an earthen stove made in his house, the Deputy Chief Minister had said that whoever does not have a cylinder should send the information to us, we will send the cylinder. In response to this, the SP chief said that the statement of the BJP Deputy CM has proved that hoarding and black marketing of cylinders is being done by the BJP only. It is requested that they post their phone number on social media or give the address of their home, office or directly the underground warehouse of their hoarding.

In a statement issued by the party on Friday, the SP chief asked the BJP members that where are the BJP members and their associates, who claim to be the world's largest party and service, missing now? Why are they not going out with BJP belts around their necks and BJP flags on their vehicles to convince the people standing in the gas and oil queues and get them cylinders and oil? Why don't they set up 'stools' and sit in front of gas agencies and petrol pumps? The truth is that the BJP and their associates have gone underground as usual.

He said that when the BJP says that there is 'opportunity in disaster', then understand its meaning and chronology, first harass the people, propagate 'there is crisis, there is crisis', create as much fear as possible, continuously increase the shortage, create long queues, create fights in the queue, blame someone else for the shortage, people will run for goods in fear, convert the crisis into a disaster. Tell me, scare the scared people further, then increase the price manifold, get the supply done through the back door, earn huge money by black marketing.
