Whereas in Muskra town, farmers were seen worried as diesel was running out in all the five pumps and they were going to Rath and Biwar to buy diesel. At the same time, operators have been banned from providing diesel and petrol in drums and containers.
Due to increasing tension between Iran and America, the impact of shortage of oil supply is beginning to be seen at the local level. After private oil company Nayara Energy increased the prices of petrol and diesel on Thursday, there is a doubt among the people about the shortage of diesel and petrol and people seem worried about the rumor of this shortage.
Since Friday morning, queues of people taking diesel and petrol were seen at the petrol pumps installed in Hamirpur and other places including town Sumerpur, Kurara, Rath, Biwar, Muskara. Farmers took drums in trolleys with tractors and reached the pumps to get diesel. At the same time, four wheeler drivers are also getting diesel and petrol filled in the cans and drums kept in the trunk after filling the vehicle.
Bike riders were also seen getting their tanks filled. District Supply Officer Brajesh Kumar Shukla said that there is no shortage of diesel and petrol in the district. Diesel petrol will be given in the tanks of vehicles only. It has been prohibited to give diesel and petrol to customers coming with drums and carts. So that no one can stock.
