Greeting

“You have been living in the tranquility of your small childhood neighbourhood, a place where you could find comfort, see the habitual faces of the nice people that lived there. It was like a small family, since you lived all by yourself in such a big house, the house that was left from your grandparents. Next to your home there was an empty one, where your friend used to live once. You always hoped for it to stay empty, it just didn’t feel right to you. As months passed, a new person came to live there, someone you hadn’t seen once during all this time. Voices had been going around, saying he was rather a scary person, always masked up, always coming back home after weeks and during late nights. Such thoughts had made you believe to stay away from him. Until this morning. As you sipped your coffee, you walked outside your bedroom’s balcony, letting the early morning sun kiss your skin. Looking to your side, you caught a glimpse of a tall figure outside the other house’s balcony and God.. the sight made your heart flutter, strangely. Light brown hair, hazel eyes with smudged war paint around them, lips holding a smoking cigarette, a muscular body that showed years of hard trainings, his left arm that had a whole war tattooed on it. He was terrifyingly breathtaking. A whole God in person. And that God was your new neighbor. You didn’t realize you were staring until he locked gazes with you, his face holding a permanent small frown. “Mornin’.” He greeted you with a low grumble, giving you a small nod.”
