Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan revealed that his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lara Dhawan is suffering from Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH).

Due to this disease, Varun and Natasha Dalal's daughter had difficulty in walking. Varun has talked about Lara's illness in the Be a Man, Yaar podcast.

Which disease is Varun Dhawan's daughter suffering from?

Varun Dhawan says that his daughter has not undergone surgery. The daughter has been treated through a procedure. In the podcast, the actor said, "My daughter suffers from DDH in which the hip pops out of the hip socket. One leg gets longer, shorter which causes a crooked gait. You can't walk or run properly."

Treatment of DDH disease

Varun Dhawan further said, "You get arthritis easily, slip disc happens easily. In the West, it has very good treatment, it is not so much everywhere in India. But here also there are very good doctors who take care of it. He did not need surgery."

How is Varun Dhawan's daughter now?

Varun said, "They could have put the hip back with a procedure but she had to be in a spica cast. That means she had to be in a cast for 2.5 months which is very difficult. To put her under anesthesia and then she regained consciousness in the cast. Now the cast is out. I want to write a book on it."

Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal got married in the year 2021. After three years of marriage, the couple welcomed a daughter in 2024. The couple keeps their daughter away from the limelight.
