Security agencies have so far seized a total of 57 kg of hydroponic beads and foreign ganja, which is worth crores in the international market. In the latest case, 5 kg of foreign ganja worth Rs 5 crore was seized from a youth who had come from Bangkok. 10 smugglers have been arrested, international network is suspected.

According to the information, incidents of smuggling have increased through flights coming from Thailand during the tourist season. So far, large consignments of hydroponic beads and foreign ganja have been seized in five separate cases.
10 kg hydroponic beads recovered
In the first case, 10 kg of hydroponic beads were recovered. After this, in the second case, five smugglers were arrested with 25 kg of hydroponic beads, which included the accused from Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Punjab and Ludhiana. In the third case, 17 kg, while in the fourth case, 5 kg of hydroponic beads were recovered.
In the latest case, security agencies have achieved a major success and arrested 21-year-old youth Vishal Ojha, resident of Gorakhpur, with five kilograms of foreign ganja. The accused had reached Gaya from Bangkok by Thai Air Asia flight and was preparing to go to Gorakhpur.
Price in international market is around Rs 5 crore
It is said that the accused had hidden ganja in four packets by specially making a separate layer inside his bag, so that he could avoid normal investigation. But during luggage scanning the security personnel became suspicious. During thorough investigation, five kilograms of ganja was recovered from the bag.
The value of the recovered ganja in the international market is estimated to be around Rs 5 crore. After this incident, agencies are suspecting that a big international smuggling network may be active behind this.
Total recovery of 57 kg
So far, a total of 57 kg of hydroponic beads have been recovered and 10 smugglers have been arrested in this case. All the accused have been found smuggling through flights coming from Thailand. At present, the security agencies are interrogating the arrested accused and are trying to trace the entire network.
