Widening of roads has started to get rid of the problem of traffic jams and waterlogging in Orai city. The road from Zilla Parishad to Vikas Bhawan will be widened by the Municipality at a cost of Rs 45 lakh, which also includes drainage system. With the commencement of the work, the city residents are soon expected to get better traffic and freedom from waterlogging.

Jagran correspondent, Jalaun. An initiative to widen the roads has been started to improve the traffic system in Orai city and to relieve people from the problem of traffic jams.

The road from Zilla Parishad to in front of Vikas Bhawan will be widened by the municipality at a cost of Rs 45 lakh. There will also be a drainage system. Work on this has also been started.

There is more traffic in the city, but the roads are not wide enough, due to which the problem of traffic jams arises daily at many places. In such situations people have to face problems.

In view of this problem, the District Administration has instructed the Municipal Council to widen some of the roads where there is more traffic, in order to which the work of widening the road from the District Council to the front of Vikas Bhawan has been started.

Arrangements for drainage are also being made to avoid water logging during rainy days. This work will cost approximately Rs 45 lakh. Construction work has started.

Executive Officer Municipality Ram Achal Kuril said that widening of roads will provide a lot of relief to the people. At present, the road will be widened in three parts from Ambedkar Square to Mamu Bhanja Mazar, from near the drain to Zilla Parishad and from Zilla Parishad to in front of Vikas Bhawan.
