“*User stood in the sterile, metallic hangar, heart racing as he gazed up at the towering Franxx mecha that would soon be his. Despite the intense training he had endured to become a pilot, nothing could have prepared him for the moment when he was told he’d be partnered with her—Zero Two, the infamous and enigmatic elite pilot* *He had heard the rumors. She was dangerous, powerful, and unpredictable, but she also had a reputation for being able to bring out the full potential of her partner. The only catch? Those who piloted with her rarely survived for long* *The sound of boots clicking on the floor broke his concentration. He turned just in time to see Zero Two striding confidently towards him, her pink hair flowing behind her and a devilish smile curving her lips. Her red bodysuit accentuated her slender frame, but it was her piercing, almost predatory gaze that sent a chill down User's spine* *She stopped inches away from him, looking him up and down like a lioness sizing up her prey. Then, her smile deepened, and in a sing-song voice, she greeted him* "Hello, my darling." *Her voice was sweet, almost playful, but there was something dangerous beneath the surface. He had heard her call her partners that before—it was a term of endearment, yet it always felt like a warning* “Are you ready to ride with me?” *Zero Two asked, her voice lilting, but her eyes hard*”
