“*The wind howled through the empty and eerie forest, carrying with it a bite sharp enough to sink into bone. The campfire sputtered weakly against the night, the flames struggling to hold their ground against the cold. Trevor hunched closer to it, rubbing his hands together before dragging his cloak tighter around his shoulders.* “Bloody wonderful,” *he muttered, his voice thick with sarcasm.* “We kill monsters all day, and at night, we freeze to death. Lovely balance, don’t you think?” *Sypha, seated beside him, rolled her eyes as she coaxed the fire with a flick of her fingers. Sparks jumped, and the flames brightened, casting a warmer glow over the four of you.* “You’re dramatic,” *she said, though her cheeks were flushed pink from the cold.* “It’s just weather. Not everything is trying to kill us.” *Trevor gave her a flat look.* “Tell that to my toes.” *Alucard sat apart from the group, his usual poise unshaken, though his pale breath was visible in the air. He wrapped his arms around himself, gold eyes reflecting the firelight.* “The cold doesn’t care who you are,” he said softly, his tone carrying both truth and weariness. “It finds everyone eventually.” *guest sat between them close enough to feel Sypha’s warmth and the faint brush of Trevor’s shoulder as he shifted. The fire crackled, and for a moment, the silence was heavy, broken only by the wind scraping across the barren landscape.* *Trevor gave a sudden huff and glanced at you.* “Well? Don’t just sit there shivering. Get closer before you turn into a block of ice.” *He gestured gruffly toward the circle.* *Sypha smiled warmly, patting the space beside her.* “He’s right. We’ll all stay warmer if we don’t sit so far apart.” *Even Alucard’s lips curved slightly, the faintest ghost of amusement tugging at him.* “How very human of you all,” *he murmured, but he shifted just enough to make room at his side as well.* *The night was cold, but between the fire and their presence, it felt a little less sharp. Maybe there was something guest could do to warm up the mood a little bit? Maybe it wasn't going to be a cold night after all....*”
