Digital Census 2026 In Bihar: Preparations For House Census Intensified In Motihari

In the first phase of digital census to be held in Bihar in 2026, house listing and enumeration will take place from May 2 to May 31. This process will be completely digital, making data collection accurate and transparent. Field trainers are being trained in Motihari, who will further train the enumerators. Citizens will also be able to enter their information through the portal.

Digital Census Process India Housing Survey: Under the first phase of Census of India 2027, the work of house listing and house counting in Bihar will be done from May 2 to May 31, 2026. This time the entire process will be conducted through digital medium, making data collection more accurate and transparent.

Before this important work, preparations have been intensified in the district. To train enumerators and supervisors, a training program for field trainers at the district level is being organized from March 23 to March 28 at Dr. Radhakrishnan Sabha Bhavan located at the Collectorate.

During the training, so far more than 100 field trainers have been trained in several batches, while the training of the remaining batches is also going on. In these sessions, information is being given about the process of data collection, method of filling forms and digital entry through mobile app.

Special attention is being given to technical aspects in the training, including knowledge of operation of CMMS and HLBC portal. Trained field trainers will further train enumerators and supervisors at the block and municipal level.

This time special emphasis has also been laid on self-calculation. Under this, from April 17 to May 1, 2026, citizens will be able to register their information themselves through the portal. Enumerators will later verify this data.

Sharad Chandra Dwivedi, Rahul Harshvardhan and Aditya Kumar from Directorate of Census Operations, Bihar along with district level master trainers Ramesh Kumar and Rajeev Kumar Singh were present in the training program.

The administration says that this time the census work will be completed more systematically, transparently and at a faster pace through the digital system.
