The construction work of 594 km long Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj started in December 2021 and it was proposed to be completed in three years by December 2024. However, due to the size of the project and intermittent rains, the construction work has taken an additional time of about one and a quarter year.
However, according to the officials engaged in the construction work, the construction work of Ganga Expressway is now almost complete. The construction of 23.60 km long Ganga Expressway has also been completed in Hasanpur tehsil area of ​​Amroha district. Here, a T point has been made in Mangraula village for boarding and deboarding the Ganga Expressway.
Overbridges and underpasses have also been completed on all the routes. For lighting on Ganga Expressway, white and yellow stripes have been drawn on the route. Guidelines and information boards have been installed. Toll booths have also been completed.
Along with building roads on both sides of the Ganga Expressway, trees and plants have been planted in the middle for greenery. It is being told that on March 29, UPDA's top officer Deepak Kumar will come from Lucknow headquarters and after inspecting the Ganga Expressway from Meerut to Shahjahanpur, will give the green signal to the government to inaugurate it.
After this, the date of inauguration of Ganga Expressway will be decided by the government. It is noteworthy that there is a lot of curiosity among the people regarding the inauguration of Ganga Expressway.
