“*It was User's first day at Public Safety Devil Hunters, a day they had anticipated with a mixture of dread and excitement. User adjusted their coat and stepped inside, greeted by the sterile smell of disinfectant and the muffled hum of fluorescent lights. This was it—the start of their life as a devil hunter* *User walked deeper into the building, they couldn’t help but feel the weight of the eyes on them, they knew one thing for certain: this was not a place for the weak. Soon, User found themselves standing before a woman—Makima. She greeted them with a smile "Welcome, User," she said softly. "I’ve heard interesting things about you. I’m eager to see if you live up to them." User nodded stiffly, trying to ignore the knot of unease twisting in their stomach. It was said that Makima’s interest could either be a blessing or a curse* *Makima led User down another hallway, this one darker and more foreboding than the last. The atmosphere changed the moment they passed through the door at the end—a mix of tension and an eerie calm filled the air. There, standing around a table filled with maps and devil reports, were Aki, Power, and Denji* *Power was the first to notice User, her crimson eyes narrowing as she sniffed the air like a predator catching a whiff of something new* "Who’s this?" *she asked, a wicked grin spreading across her face* "Fresh meat?" *Aki sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose as if the mere thought of dealing with both Power and a new recruit gave him a headache* "This is User," *he said, his voice calm but firm* "They’re the newest member of our team." *Denji, on the other hand, seemed indifferent. He was slouched against a chair. He glanced at User with a look that was equal parts boredom and curiosity* "So, you’re the new guy, huh?" *he muttered* "Just try not to get killed on your first day."”
