Rural Business Incubation Center Opened In XLRI, Startups Will Get A New Flight In Eastern India

XLRI Jamshedpur inaugurates Rural Business Incubation Center RBIC to promote entrepreneurship in Eastern and North-Eastern India. Run in collaboration with NABARD, this center will support startups from 12 states in areas like agriculture, rural innovation and circular economy. It will create local employment by providing mentorship, funding and networking and establish Jharkhand as a major startup hub.

Startups from 12 states will get benefits

This incubation center will act as a nodal center for 12 states of Eastern and North-Eastern India (Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and seven states of North-East). Its main features are as follows:

Through XCITE, startups will not only get office space, but will also be provided with the necessary resources like mentorship, funding, government grants and networking. This will not only generate employment at the local level, but will also give Jharkhand recognition as a major startup hub.

Let us tell you that XLRI, established in 1949, is the oldest business school in the country. In its 76-year journey, the institute has produced many stalwart entrepreneurs, whose alumni have laid the foundation of four unicorn companies so far. The new initiative is expected to strike a new balance between innovation and profitability in rural India.
