62 Retired Government Teachers Will Get Imaginary Promotion, Pension Will Increase Due To Getting The Benefit Of One Increment.
The promotion process of teachers in government secondary schools is slow, due to which 62 assistant teachers have retired without getting promotion. Due to absence of departmental promotion committee meeting, 235 working teachers are also waiting. When the meeting is held, retired teachers will get imaginary promotion, which will give them the benefit of an increment in their pension. The promotion process of eight subjects is stuck.

About 62 assistant teachers appointed between 1991 and 2000 have retired without getting a permanent post. The remaining 235 working teachers included in the seniority list of 297 during this period are still waiting for promotion.
Promotion process of eight subjects stuck
Notional promotion will be given to retired teachers when the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meets. Due to this, their pension will increase by getting the benefit of a salary hike. Out of total 18 subjects, 10 were promoted in the men's branch in December 2022, but the promotion process of eight subjects got stuck, which could not be completed now.
Only 232 teachers are working, the rest have retired.
For this, the seniority list was sent from the Directorate of Education to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, but due to some deficiency, the DPC meeting was not held. Due to further delay, Additional Director of Education (Government) Ajay Kumar Dwivedi got the list examined and found only about 235 teachers were employed. The remaining approximately 62 assistant teachers had retired.
What benefits will you get from imaginary promotion?
In such a situation, giving imaginary promotion to retired teachers will be approved in the DPC meeting. The working teachers will be promoted and posting orders will be issued. Those receiving notional promotion will have the benefit of one increment commensurate with the last increment received, added to their basic pension. With this they will start getting increased pension.
