This cave, about 30 meters long and 20 meters wide, is situated on a huge rock, within which there is a naturally formed water pool. The special thing is that the water level of this pond always remains stable. It never dries up or overflows, which makes it even more mysterious.

Shivalinga and snake god figures in the cave

Natural Shivalinga and snake deity figures are visible inside the cave. According to local beliefs, Jalabhishek takes place here itself and sandalwood-kumkum is also prepared automatically.

There is a dry pond above the cave, while about 200 meters above another cave in the mountain, one can reach a place called 'Mathakot' by foot, where it is believed that in ancient times, there was a king's court and a divine palace.

Local social worker Kamal Bhatt has raised the demand to connect this place with tourism. He believes that if the cave pool is developed systematically and youth are trained as guides, then this area can become a center of new employment opportunities.

Beautification work done with Rs 10 lakhs

Under tourism development, a plan is being made for beautification, construction of roads and expansion of basic facilities at a cost of about Rs 10 lakh. In the past too, voices have been raised many times at the local level regarding this place, but now again the initiative to develop it as a major tourist destination has intensified.

The religious, historical and natural importance of Cave Tal puts it in the category of caves like Patal Bhuvaneshwar and Amarnath, due to which in the coming time it can make its mark among the major tourist destinations of Uttarakhand.
