After an altercation over construction of a shop, sticks were fired and firing took place, in which vegetable trader Nikhil Gupta was shot in the hand. He has been admitted to the hospital. The police have detained the brother of the shooter. The incident created a stir in the city.

Businessman Nishant Varshney, who runs a watch shop in a big market on that land, is also claiming his land. There has been an atmosphere of tension between the two sides regarding this matter for several days.

In this sequence, on Saturday morning at around 8.30, Nikhil Gupta, his brother Arpit and father Gopiram reached the shops and started getting the shutters installed. It is alleged that Nishant and his brother Prashant came and beat him with sticks and opened fire with a pistol. Due to which Nikhil was shot in the left hand. He was admitted to CHC.
The incident created panic in the area. Inspector in-charge Anuj Tomar said that an FIR is being registered in the matter.
