Bihar Bhandar Nigam Will Take Vacant Warehouses On Rent In Jharkhand, Income Will Increase In Hazaribagh-Khunti And Simdega.
Bihar State Stores Corporation will rent vacant warehouses of Agricultural Produce Market Committee in Jharkhand. This was agreed upon in the meeting held in Ranchi, which will increase the income of the market committee. The corporation will store food grains in a scientific manner and will bear the cost of repairs itself. The process of hiring the warehouses of Hazaribagh, Khunti and Simdega will begin after inspecting them.
Bihar Bhandar Nigam will take warehouses from Jharkhand on rent.
State Bureau, Ranchi. Bihar State Warehousing Corporation has decided to rent vacant warehouses under Agricultural Produce Market Committee in various districts of Jharkhand. A joint meeting of officials of both the departments has been held in Ranchi regarding this.
Managing Director of Bihar State Store Corporation and Chairman and Secretary of Agricultural Produce Market Committee, Jharkhand were present in the meeting. If the vacant warehouses of Marketing Board are taken on rent by Bihar Bhandar Nigam, then the income of the Market Committee will increase.
However, the per square feet rate has not been decided yet. It is expected that the rate may be Rs 6 per square metre. Bihar Stores Corporation stores food grains as well as other commodities using scientific methods.
Necessary repairs will be done by Bihar Store Corporation
As agreed in the meeting, the vacant warehouses in Jharkhand will be made available to Bihar State Stores Corporation in the same condition as they are. Bihar Bhandar Nigam will get the necessary repair work done in the warehouse at its own level.
The rent rate (per square feet) will be fixed accordingly. Rent will be paid as per the contract in the first week of every month after presentation of the bill. If the capacity of the warehouse is more than 2,500 metric tonnes, Bihar Warehousing Corporation will set up its own weighing plant.
At present warehouses are lying vacant at three sites in Hazaribagh, Khunti and Simdega. After inspection, action will be taken to hire them. It was also said in the meeting that the draft of the detailed contract would be sent.
Bihar State Stores Corporation has requested the Market Committee to issue approval and consent on the above points.
