Farmers Will Have To Do This Work To Sell Crops In Faridabad, Deputy Commissioner Issued Guidelines

Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha has made registration on 'Meri Fasal-Mera Byora' portal mandatory for purchasing crops in the markets of Faridabad. Without registration, farmers will not get gate passes and their crops will not be purchased at the government support price. While reviewing the preparations for the Rabi procurement season, he directed the officials to ensure all the necessary facilities in the mandis, make adequate arrangements for storage and make the procurement process transparent.

Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha has instructed the secretaries of the market committees that gate passes for bringing crops to the mandis should be issued only to those farmers who have registered on the 'Meri Fasal-Mera Byora' portal. Under no circumstances should any farmer's crop be purchased at the government support price without prior registration.

Deputy Commissioner Sinha was reviewing the administrative preparations being made to start government procurement of mustard and wheat in the mandis, during a meeting held in his office at the Mini Secretariat in Sector-12.

Officials of the District Food and Supplies Department, Secretaries and Executive Officers of Market Committees, representatives of trader associations of mandis, and officials of Food Corporation of India (FCI), Haryana Warehousing Corporation and HAFED were present in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials of the government procurement agencies to ensure availability of all necessary facilities within the mandis keeping in mind the upcoming Rabi procurement season. Farmers should not face any kind of inconvenience. The entire procurement process should be completely transparent and conducted smoothly.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the officers to take special care that the arrival of wheat and mustard is particularly high in Mohana and Ballabhgarh grain markets. In view of this, adequate arrangements for storage should be made. The warehouses of Food Corporation of India and Haryana Warehousing Corporation should be utilized to their full capacity.

Additionally, if and when required, additional storage arrangements should also be made. There should not be any delay in lifting (transportation) of wheat from the mandis. Trucks should be provided strictly as per the terms and conditions prescribed in the tenders.

Deputy Commissioner Sinha stressed that the arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, lighting and gunny bags within the mandis should be completely ensured by March 31. Faridabad SDM Amit Kumar and District Food and Supplies Controller Kavita Singh were prominently present in the meeting.
