Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra has been given the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee BKTC. This decision has been taken with the aim of strengthening the arrangements for Chardham Yatra. The former CEO was removed due to controversies. Mishra's administrative experience will establish better coordination between the district administration and the temple committee, which will provide better facilities to the devotees and make the journey easier.

State Bureau, Dehradun. Before the start of Chardham Yatra, Rudprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra has been given the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC).

The government has taken this decision with the aim of making the arrangements for Chardham Yatra more strong and effective.

Recently, due to controversies, the government had removed BKTC CEO Vijay Thapliyal from the post and sent him back to his parent department.

Lakhs of devotees visit Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham every year, in such a situation management is a big responsibility.

Being the District Magistrate, Vishal Mishra is already playing an important role in disaster management, travel arrangements and development works in the district.

His administrative experience will help in enhancing coordination in the work of the temple committee. The state government believes that having a single officer responsible for both the district administration and the temple committee will lead to better coordination between various departments.
