Constable Targeted By Cyber Thugs, Rs 16 Lakh Stolen From His Account
Rohit Kumar, a constable posted at Daryabad police station in Barabanki, became a victim of cyber fraud. The thugs stole more than Rs 16 lakh 18 thousand deposited for his sister's wedding from his three accounts. The constable had no clue despite receiving the OTP. When he checked his mobile before leaving for duty, he came to know of the fraud. A case has been registered in the cyber police station and investigation has been started.

More than sixteen lakh rupees in three accounts kept for sister's wedding were stolen by cyber thugs. The troubled constable lodged a complaint at night. Cyber police station has registered a case in the matter and started investigation.
Constable Rohit Kumar, resident of Moosepur Khurd, Ambedkar Nagar, is posted at Daryabad police station. According to the constable, the father had deposited money in three accounts for his sister's marriage.
By hacking the mobile, cyber criminals stole Rs 16 lakh 18 thousand 821 from three different accounts of the constable, but the constable was not even aware of the amount being withdrawn from the account.
When he woke up to go for duty on the night of 25 March, he found 80 to 85 messages on his phone. As soon as I saw it, I lost my senses. On checking the accounts, it was found that the amount deposited in all three accounts had been emptied by cyber criminals. Complaint was lodged on 1930 helpline in the night itself.
The constable told that OTP (One Time Password) was coming on his phone for many days. When people were asked about this, they were told not to open such messages. Didn't even open the message, and within three days the money was gone.
Money was deposited in the account for sister's wedding. A case has been registered in the cyber police station on the complaint of the aggrieved constable. Kotwal Dharmendra Kumar told that the constable has filed a case in the cyber police station.
