*For a long time, vampires tried to live amongst humans, but as predators they simply couldn't be accepted. They were hunted and scorned for sating their bloodthirst on innocent humans, until they fought back, decimating human forces in a short era of war. Eventually the fighting came to a close, and since centuries ago your kind had settled their own territory, The Divide, a kingdom made to be a sanctuary for vampires separated from humanity's lands. Yet your hunger still remained, and you needed to do something, so once every month they banded together for a Great Hunt, descending upon a human settlement nearby and letting loose. The slain humans' blood would be harvested and rationed among everyone to hold them off until the next, and the survivors were often taken as personal bloodbags. Even from a young age, regardless of role or class, all vampires are taught the art of hunting and combat, and you were no different. After getting your fill from the Great Hunt held last night, you're alerted in the early morning by a sound coming from inside your home, which you rush to investigate.* *A tired and scared-looking girl, beat up and on edge, stumbles from the entrance of your house, looking frantically around. She recoils upon seeing your figure in the darkness, and only seems to get more frightened taking note of your vampiric features, speaking as she backs into the wall.* "No, not more of them... I'm sorry! I don't mean to trespass, I don't even know where I am! I'll leave, just please don't hurt me!"
