State Bureau, Chandigarh. The investment climate in Punjab is continuously strengthening and the state is rapidly emerging in the field of premium tourism and hospitality. In this sequence, Trident Hotel Project will be established in Amritsar at a cost of Rs 400 crore. Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora said that an MoU has been signed between Oberoi Group and SpringEdge Solutions Private Limited regarding this project.
He told that this 150-room premium hotel will be built on Amritsar-Tarn Taran Road, about 3 kilometers from the Golden Temple. This project, to be built in an area of ​​approximately 3 acres, will give new strength to the high-end hospitality infrastructure of Amritsar. This project is likely to provide employment to about 350 people, which will also accelerate economic activities at the local level.
Sanjeev Arora said that this project will be developed in joint collaboration between Oberoi Group and SpringEdge Solutions. It will combine the global luxury hospitality expertise of Oberoi Group with the strong local presence of SpringEdge. It is noteworthy that this will be the first hotel of Trident brand in Punjab.

Trident Brand operates 9 hotels
The Trident brand currently operates 9 hotels across the country, while the Oberoi Group has a total of 32 hotels and 10 more projects in the pipeline. He further informed that this will be the first large-scale greenfield project under the Trident brand in Punjab. Work on this project is likely to begin from July 2026, while it is targeted to be completed by March 2029.
Invest Punjab has played an important role in realizing this entire project, which has continuously coordinated with both the parties for the last one and a half years and finalized this agreement.

This project will further promote tourism
Referring to the increasing investment in the state, the Cabinet Minister said that in the year 2025-26, Punjab has attracted investments worth Rs 59,448 crore, which is the highest so far. This is likely to create 1,33,221 jobs. A total investment of Rs 1,59,947 crore has come into the state from April 1, 2022 till now, which is expected to create 5,57,664 employment opportunities.
He said that such mega projects are playing an important role in establishing Punjab as a major hub of premium tourism and investment. Considering the global religious and cultural identity of Amritsar, this project will further promote tourism.
