PhD Admission Process Starts In Kumaon University, Applications From March 28
Kumaon University, Nainital has started the PhD admission process for the session 2025-26. According to Registrar Dr. MS Mandrawal, PhD Entrance Examination-2025 will be conducted. Candidates qualifying UGC-NET and CSIR-NET will be exempted from the written examination and will be given admission directly through interview. Online applications can be made on Samarth portal starting from 28 March 2026 to 06 April 2026.

Jagran correspondent, Nainital. Kumaon University, Nainital has started the process for admission to PhD program for the year 2025-26. According to Registrar Dr MS Mandrawal, PhD Entrance Examination-2025 is being organized, under which admissions will be given in various subjects.
According to the information released by the university, the candidates who have passed UGC-NET/Joint CSIR-NET as well as the candidates exempted from the written examination under the Kumaun University Research Ordinance-2023 (as amended) will get the opportunity of admission through direct interview. These candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in university campuses and affiliated government colleges.
Under the admission process, online applications will start from 28 March 2026, while the last date of application has been fixed as 06 April 2026. Interested candidates can register online by visiting the official website of Samarth Portal http://ukentrancephd.samarth.edu.in/.
