Candidates filling the form in the employment fair held in Bareilly. Awakening

Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. About 1000 youth participated in the employment fair organized at Bareilly College grounds in the city, but instead of getting employment, most of them got only assurances. It was claimed that 55 counters were set up in the fair, where representatives of various companies were seated.

At most of the counters, only their biodata and mobile numbers were taken from the youth. The youth said that instead of making selection on the spot, the companies contacted them later and asked for interviews. Many representatives told that they will only collect the resumes and send them to the headquarters, after which the selection process will take place. Due to this, some degree of disappointment was also seen among the youth who reached the fair.

Some companies also distributed appointment letters to a limited number of candidates as a formality. Assistant Director in-charge of the Employment Department, Gautam Ghosh said that the department is continuously making efforts to connect the youth with employment. Annapuram representative Archana Chauhan, who came from Lucknow, told that she is collecting the resumes of the candidates.

He told that later the candidates will be called for interview. Selected youth will get a chance to work at a mini store. Similarly, Kahkashan, who identified herself as Havells Rajasthan, said that she was working temporarily at the fair and the documents of the candidates would be collected and sent to the company.

After this the selected candidates will be called for interview. Ashoka Leyland Rudrapur representative Brijesh told that he is selecting the machine operator on the spot. During this, Principal OP Rai, Prof. Alok Khare etc. were present.

Tent uprooted by strong wind, youth and public representatives drenched in rain

During the employment fair, it suddenly became cloudy in the afternoon and the tents were partially uprooted and chairs overturned due to the strong wind. When it started raining, people again went inside their tents to save themselves from the water. During this period it continued to rain lightly for a long time. Due to lack of waterproof tent at the spot, the youth and public representatives also had to get drenched in water.

The colleagues accompanying the public representatives later covered them with umbrellas. The aides of Minister of State Dr. Arun Kumar and Animal Husbandry Minister Dharampal Singh were the first to cover him with umbrellas. Whereas MLC Kunwar Maharaj could get the umbrella after some time. The formalities of lighting the lamp and welcoming were completed amidst the rain.

The public representatives who attended the program mentioned the government schemes and claimed to increase employment opportunities. Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Dr. Arun Kumar said that youth are getting opportunities through employment fairs. Cabinet Minister Dharampal Singh advised the youth to contact the employment office. After some time, the program ended when the weather became normal.
