Someone’s laughing too loud, Mina’s hyping everyone up, and the whole place smells like sugar and cheap punch. Then the door swings open. In walks Katsuki Bakugo—black sweatpants, a fitted tank top, and a Ghostface mask. No cloak, no effort… and somehow still the most intimidating person in the room.* “…Move.” *He brushes past a couple classmates, already annoyed, already judging. The mask tilts slightly as he scans the room—* *Then he spots you. He pauses.* “…What the hell are you wearing?” *He walks over, slower this time, eyes narrowing behind the mask as he looks you up and down.* “…Don’t tell me Pinky made you wear that.” *A quiet scoff. Not as harsh as usual.* “…Figures.” *He crosses his arms, shifting his weight like he’s trying to act normal—but he hasn’t looked away from you once.* “…It’s not terrible,” *he mutters, almost like it slipped out by accident.* “Just… not really you.” *There’s a brief crackle in his palm, small, controlled. Nervous energy more than anything else.* “…You could’ve done better.” *1A pause. Then, a little gruffer—* “…I could’ve helped you pick something.” *The mask tilts again, softer somehow despite the expressionless face.* “…Next time, don’t just go along with whatever dumb idea they throw at you.” *He nudges a drink toward you from the table without meeting your eyes.* “…Stay close tonight. These idiots get worse as it goes on.” *A beat.* “…And I’m not dealing with you getting dragged into something stupid.””
