DIG Bhullar Bribery Case! Many Officers Of Punjab Involved In Corruption Game, CBI Files FIR
CBI has found new evidence in the corruption case related to suspended DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, which has revealed the involvement of many other officials of Punjab. CBI has now registered a preliminary inquiry against unknown officials. The investigating agency told the court that evidence of contacts with senior officials has been found from electronic devices and WhatsApp chats. Bhullar was arrested for demanding a bribe of Rs 8 lakh, and huge cash and gold was recovered from his house.

Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. CBI has found some new and important evidence in the corruption case related to suspended Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. CBI claims that many other officers of Punjab also have a role in this big game of corruption. CBI has now started investigation by registering a preliminary inquiry against unknown officers.
The investigating agency gave this information by filing an application in the special CBI court on Friday. Told that during the investigation, the involvement of many officials and private persons of Punjab has come to light. Therefore, an application has been filed seeking permission to take possession of the mobile phone, original documents and cash.
According to CBI, this investigation is related to the corruption case registered last year. During the investigation, forensic examination of electronic devices, WhatsApp chats, interrogation and documents have revealed evidence of constant contact with several senior government officials. CBI claims that the accused used their access to government machinery to take bribes in exchange for providing illegal benefits to private individuals.
Bhullar was caught on charges of bribe of eight lakh rupees.
CBI had arrested middleman Krishnau Sharda on October 16. He was demanding a bribe of Rs 8 lakh from a businessman of Mandi Gobindgarh in the name of Bhullar. CBI also came to know about Bhullar's role during the investigation. After this he was also arrested.
When CBI searched Bhullar's house in Sector 40, it found Rs 7.5 crore in cash and 2.5 kg gold. After which a case of disproportionate assets was also registered against him.
